My holiday… was very interesting. Why? Mainly because I went to a very very very very very very very awesome place~ Guess where. Well… IT IS NONE OTHER THAN THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH KOREA <3<3<3 You may be thinking: Cheh. How is that beautiful?
It may not
be beautiful to you but to me it is definitely somewhere that I’ve wanted to go
for a long time. I have been a fan of the Korean pop, and of course, going to Korea
will be something that I dream of. They’ve always pictured South Korea to be
very beautiful and such and I am definitely curious of how it really is.
Alright, when
I finally got to Korea, I was super excited. When I got off the plane, the sky
was already dark. Korea time was faster than that of Singapore by 1hr. Also, at
that part of the year (end November – Starting December), it was apparently
really cold. I left the airport and the minute I stepped out of the warm
airport, I felt chills. Brrrr. That moment when the freezing air blows in my
face *^* Trust me, after living in Singapore for so long, I was NOT prepared
for such coldness… YET.
I’ve
definitely had lots of fun shopping, eating and exploring in Korea. The most
memorable event to me was probably Skiing. I actually went to Seoul, but for
skiing, I had to go to another part of South Korea, Pyeongchang.
Isn't this place just beautiful? <3
Guess what? IT
WAS SUPER COLDDDDDDDDDDDDD. /sniff sniff/ The temperature there was like… -14
degrees. That aside, the skiing thing there was huge. Yes, get me right, HUGE. Beside
the slopes there was this skiing resort called Alpensia and that’s where I stayed
at for the few days. The hotel was cool and nice and convenient but the only
bad thing was that there weren’t any wifi provided. But that’s ok :3 I’ve had
lots of fun skiing and that’s what matters <3 It was actually a lot easier
than what I’ve expected, however, my dad… erm… well let’s just say he had a
seemingly fun time falling over. But yeah, skiing is really fun! I really recommend
it for those of you who haven’t been to skiing before BD /thumbs up/ We had to
wear these jackets…? They looked like jackets to me. Waterproof ones. They do
have some really cool designs on them. Oh and the gloves were simply
a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I love the gloves absolutely *.* They are so coooooooooooool.
Literally. Not to mention the goggles as well :> I definitely loved the
skiing experience!
After going
back to Seoul, I found that it was so warm there and the temperature was
wonderful. It wasn’t too hot, neither was it too cold! Just beautiful. Seoul is
generally a very suitable place for shopaholics like me ;D There were cosmetic
shops everywhere on the street. EVERYWHERE. And I’m not even exaggerating~ I
love shopping at Dongdaemun. Gosh, that place is amazing! They open at night
till dawn and it was basically this “mall” with loads of shops there. 99% of
the shops there were selling clothes and it was just fabulous. How can you not
enjoy shopping in Korea?! Unfortunately, as I went during the winter season,
the clothes sold there were mainly thick and long sleeved and so on. I think
that if I go during summer I might have to bring more than 1 luggage. LOL. I
recommend shopping in Dongdaemun. <333333 Gawd, I just love that place so
much I might wanna carry it home~ JOKINGS. XD But really, I love that place.
I like
going to Myeongdong too :> but it’s just mainly cosmetics sold there.
Innisfree… Etude house… The Face Shop etc. Basically, if you walk down the
streets of Myeongdong, you will be able to see at least 5 Etude Houses and
such. I was like “Wow. Just, wow.” Awed.
I’ve really
really enjoyed my trip to Korea and I definitely wish to go again. *.* SOUTH
KOREA <3
